Every month on a Saturday I meet up with my BFF of 30 years and we talk and write and laugh and eat at a bookstore in downtown Phoenix.
It feeds my soul. Plus, we refuse to share fries. We each get our own.

General Conference weekend.
We listen to the prophet and apostles and other church leaders, enjoy the Tabernacle Choir singing, get filled with the Spirit as we learn of Jesus Christ, and eat yummy food.
It comes only twice a year and I it so much.

Carrie's Mix (spotify playlist) was 400+ songs long and whoever sits in the front seat of the van gets to be deejay and without fail they skip half of my amazing songs.
Sigh.
So I did the laborious task of dividing my songs into a variety of playlists. Calm. Hype/Exercise. Oldies. 80s. 90s. Classical. Sunday. Broadway.
14yo text: Mom there's a real fire alarm right now. (at school)
Me: Yeah I got the email. It's a false alarm.
14yo: Don't worry, I'm ok.
14yo: Doh.
Every time you read "fiery darts" or "refiner's fire" in the scriptures just replace it with "teenagers" and everything will make sense.
Yesterday after school Brynn saved a ladybug from certain death as she fished it out of the pool.
She spent the next 30 minutes caring for it, learning how to pronounce “aphid” and eventually placing it on a plant outside.
