 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Pavers between the two patios. This will be where the grill and a patio table and chairs will go.

We got the news that Dad's leukemia has come back full force. They did all they could, but now there's nothing more they can do. He's on hospice. We are driving up to Idaho to say our last goodbyes.

Dad was in good spirits.

It was amazing having some special moments with Dad.

Of course, we had to visit the farm.

And visit Carter at work!

Dad gave each of the grandsons one of his ties.

When you know it's your last goodbye, it's really hard.

Dad gave each of us blessings, including Jon.

 Goodbye Dad.

Ont he road trip home, we stopped in Brigham City to see some old friends.

Justin loves art camp!

Things are really moving on the pool.  Tile time!

Here they are putting the overlay on the decking.

And now for more pavers!!!

This month we also went up to Flagstaff for Bennett's baptism.

Quotable Sniders:

If you can spare a prayer, can you pray for my dad?
We’ll be fasting as a family for him.
His Leukemia just won’t get the hint that it should go away.

Dallin doesn't have a smartphone. So he uses my phone to text his friends. Sometimes I text them back pretending to be him. Here's a quick guide:

Driving to Idaho to say Goodbye to my dad.
At least Goodbye for now.
Patty Redd Kennington
at he would be able to receive additional treatment. It is with great grief we report that the very aggressive cancer in his bone marrow is at 20%, and the doctors can’t do anything more for him. We will begin hospice tomorrow. He is home now and for the next few weeks, until his fight is over. Thank you for your faith, love and prayers. It means more to us than we can say. We have hope in the eternal plan of salvation and look forward to the day we can all be together again. Love always, Patty and Clint

Families are forever
❤️❤️❤️
We love Dad with all our hearts. We will miss him but we know we will see him again.
It’s still hard.
But love knows no bounds. We laugh and cry and make fun of each other and then hug.
Dad has had a huge impact on so many people. And his legacy will continue.
❤️❤️❤️

Dad taught me to fish. Here I am catching my first fish!
That was back in 2016, when I went backpacking to the Sawtooth Mts in Idaho. I went with my three brothers, bro-in-law, two nephews, and my dad.
Everyone else was faster than me and my dad, but that was ok. I liked being side-by-side with him. He had so many funny observations and stories. Being next to dad you had no choice but to smile and laugh constantly.
I have probably spent more time with my dad than most, since we worked side-by-side on the farm together for so many years.
To think he won't be on the earth much longer makes me sad. But you know what? He'll still be by my side.
Heaven is real, and it's all around us.

Jon couldn’t wait to be a dad.
He loves babies. 😊
Our kids are learning how to work and be respectful from him.
They’re also learning the music to Broadway musicals.
We love daddy!

Me: Put these nerf darts away! They’re everywhere!
Dallin: But we need to keep them all over the house! For nerf wars!!!
Me: ...... I’ll allow it.

Leaving soda cans in your car during an Idaho winter vs leaving soda in your car in an Arizona summer = bulging pop cans

In the car...
Brynn: Mom! Turn off the music! I’m reading this book in my mind.
Me: ???

When your kids fight virtually (Minecraft — “Mom, he’s blowing up my wall!!”), what do you do?

Meet Loola Arena, Sydney’s alter ego.
She’s the new Weird Al.
She’s writing new lyrics for the song “Brave” by Sara Barellies.
It’s called “I Want to See You Behave.”
