Europe Day 10

Last day before heading home! We spent the whole day exploring Barcelona. At one point we even decided to move here. Haha.

First we went up to the tippy top of the city to the Gaudi museum. He was the famous local architect. His designs look almost like something out of a Dr. Seuss book... very wavy lines and very unexpected elements.

Then we went back into the main part of the city and walked around.

We ate here for lunch. They have been drying that meat for like three years!!! It was SOOO GOOD!

Next we saw other famous Gaudi buidings.

And of course the soccer stadium!

By our hotel was a cool wall where some guys were... painting!

And finally, what we had been waiting for. La Sagrada Familia. AMAZING. It was so different than other cathedrals. It was light and airy. Felt almost like being in a temple.  We had already watched a documentary about it, so we knew about its history and how long it had been under construction. So so many intricate details.

These pillars are made to feel like you're in a forest.

For dinner we wanted Ecuadorian, but it was closed! So we just found the next open restaurant because we were so hungry. This was a Japanese restaurant with a very confusing menu. We ordered... stuff. It turned out to be an adventure. lol

This is actually Day 11... heading home!!!

I think these are the Swiss Alps.

We loved Europe, but we are so glad to be home again!
