August 2014

Happy Birthday Justin! He turned 6 this year.

We got to go as a family to the Ogden Temple open house! It had recently been remodeled. It was so beautiful! And lots of stairs, with me carrying Brynn, in my church shoes. Then we got to see Brent, Maleah, Hannah.

This month our friends the Berthons from Yakima also came to visit! We went to the zoo, to Rexburg Rapids, and they went to Yellowstone National Park. Alex and Maddie missed Dallin a lot. And we missed Todd and Michelle a lot. So we had fun catching up and hanging out. Love you guys!

The kids got some free passes to this place (what's it called) for the summer reading program at the library. Fun fun!

Quotable Sniders

Sunday nights are all about the dead relatives.

Going on a mini vacay.... to the grocery store by myself!!!

Dallin's new teacher: So tell me about yourself.
Dallin: Well, I talk A LOT....
She has been warned.

Imagine this.... you are driving on the busiest street in town, when the free Toys R Us balloon makes its way to the front of the van and in your FACE. Then it tries to escape out the window. Somehow you wield your powers and manage not only to NOT hit anyone, but you save the balloon and your children think you are Supper Mom.

I take back all of my thoughts that 8 year olds are easier than 3 year olds......

In preparation for Justin's birthday on Tuesday, he's wrapping up all his toys.... maybe I don't have to get him anything??

Sydney: Don't burp at me!
Justin: But I like burping.

Home sweet home.... We are finally back home from Idaho Falls. Thank you Carrie and Jon for hosting us while visiting Yellowstone. Michelle , the kids and I had fun.

Yesterday at the zoo we found out that even tortoises get frisky.... ‪#‎Awkward‬

My boys were successfully capturing wasps today so..... should I be proud or terrified?

Epic grocery shopping trip.... but we'll probably be out of food tomorrow.

Sydney: "Mommy, look! The sky is awake!"

We love the app "Stack the States" so much.... at dinner the kids were making states out of their tortilla chips and carne asada. We even have a few nicknames for some of the states, like New Hamster.

Sometimes the Tooth Fairy forgets.... maybe an extra quarter will make up for it??
