December 2013

Happy Birthday to Carrie! I turned 35 this year.

Happy Birthday to Sydney! She turned 3 this year.

Jon had his 3rd interview in Idaho Falls, and Cable One paid for Jon AND me to fly out. It was so much fun. We checked out the area, looked at houses and ..... JON GOT THE JOB!!! He starts in January 2014. His official title will be Regional Production Manager. Basically he'll be in charge of the commercial guys in the area (Idaho Falls - Pocatello - Twin Falls).

And as if December wasn't already busy enough with Christmas, we had to cram in PACKING and getting the house ready to SELL and keeping it super clean every minute. It was not easy, but we did it! We listed it and within a week we had an offer (from my co-worker looking for a rental property). It didn't take long to negotiate a price. Hurray!

The boys also had their Winter Program for Robertson Elementary.

It was my birthday so afterwards we went out for ice cream.

We celebrated Christmas with the Snider cousins at Grandma Sharon Snider's house in Yakima.

We also went to the Yakima 3rd Ward Christmas party. I invited our German neighbor because the primary kids sang Silent Night in German and Jon read a story about the Candy Bomber. Rosemary loved it! She cried. :)

Saying goodbye to their teachers!

Christmas!!! We spent Christmas morning at our house, and we also spent Christmas Eve at the Watkins' in Selah.

Quotable Sniders

Jon is doing a practice run on getting the cat in the kitty carrier (for the trip to Idaho). There is a lot of hissing.

I think the funniest part of dinner last night at our friends' house was when the Mormon kids and the Catholic kids fought over who was going to say prayer/grace.

Once the baby finally uncrossed its legs (45 minutes into the ultrasound) we found out we are having a ...... GIRL!!!!!

We are finding out today whether Snider baby #4 is a boy or girl!!! Any guesses???

Not sure if the pukes today are from pregnancy nausea, the flu, or both. Either way.... blek.

Happy 3rd Birthday to our kitty-loving, baby hugging Miss Sydney! You were due in January but were a little too excited to join our family. We love you.

Our house has officially been on the market only six days.... and we've already reached an agreement with a buyer. Woooo hooo!!! We feel so blessed with this whole selling/packing/moving process.

A house showing today? Sure.... after we clean up all the wrapping paper and toys!

Christmas is always a wonderful day when the kids are blissfully playing with their toys while mom and dad get to take naps!!!

"Can the male bonding include less screaming, please?" (me.... as the males wrestle)

Kids are playing "Santa" ..... so cute. :) And since we don't have a tree topper they threw the Santa hat up there.

Why don't car brakes ever work in dreams???

Christmas is 5 days away????/ I'd better get on that.....

New faucets, new closet system, six trips to Goodwill, packing most everything we own, painting, deep cleaning.... selling a house is a full-time job!

"Ohhhhhh a newly painted door. I think I'll draw on it!" --Thoughts of my 5-year-old. Phooey.

Yakima friends.... If you are free today between 10am and 2pm I could use some help moving packed stuff to the garage, sweeping and bagging leaves, moving some supplies to the shed, and a few more paint touch ups in the house. The house is so close to being show-ready!
.
Painting fairies just left!!! Holy cow they painted almost the whole interior of my house!!! XOXOXO

Moved furniture away from the walls to paint.... then the tree fell down (twice) and the ornaments popped off. *sssssiiiighhhhh*

Yakima friends! We are making good headway with packing and doing some other things to spruce up our house to get it ready to put on the market. If anyone is available to help me clean Monday anytime between 10am and 2pm, or to touch up paint Tuesday anytime between 10am and 2pm, this tired pregnant lady would love you to pieces!

Today Dallin says: "Salami!!!!" (Blank stares) "I don't know why I just said that."

Since we're moving away, I finally bought a welcome mat for our house. :p

Feeling very humbled, grateful, and overwhelmed. Jon's new job will be a huge blessing for our family. Lots to do in the coming weeks... but I am very thankful that the Lord has blessed us and looked out for us all these years. I am especially in awe with Jon and his hard work and has such great passion for what he does. We have been impressed with Cable One so far and though we will miss everyone in Yakima a lot (I do mean A LOT), we are excited to move to Idaho Falls. Honey, you deserve this!!!

Pregnancy causes my brain to be a few days behind. It's still 2012, right???

The Great Bagel Caper..... Dallin's and Justin's stories keep changing. Ay ay ay.

Yakima friends: For something free and Christmasy to do, check out the Journey to Bethlehem tour at the Seventh-day Adventist church at 507 N. 35th Ave. The LDS stake choir is performing there tonight and Saturday from 6:30-7pm, as people wait to go on the tour. "Over one hundred actors, with twenty-one sets, and a dozen animals make the town of Bethlehem come to life.... watch the story of Christs birth unfold before your eyes." Dress warm!!!

Gender ultrasound scheduled for Dec. 30th! Will the Sniders even out by adding a girl, or will Sydney be outnumbered and have three brothers???? (Please note, there is only ONE baby in there.)

At Justin's 5-year-old check up, as he's growling and jumping around the room...... "Yep, he seems normal," says the doc.

Last night I had a dream, and then later on while still dreaming, I told someone about the dream. It was very Inception-like.
