April 2020

After the shock of COVID-19 in March, the month of April was learning how to navigate life while avoiding germs.

First things first--supplies.

De-germing all the stuffies.

Ordering random things from Amazon to keep the kids busy.

Hiding--with supplies.

Sewing masks.

Making signs. All of us trying to do school and work was tricky.

More crafty projects to keep our minds off of the crazy stuff.

Brynn being normal.

Primary meeting "socially distanced."

So much online school.

Zooming with the Snider family in WA.

Oh, then our kitchen sink decided to leak and the water ruined the flooring.

Thus began the insurance saga.... more later.

Jon isn't sure about working from home.

Thankfully, thankfully, THANKFULLY we got a pool put in a year ago. The kids could not wait to hop it. April 1st the water was a bit chilly, but they did it anyway.

Gma Snider made a family game.

Zooming with the Kennington cousins and Gma K.

With Dallin outside the TREK bike shop. Only a certain number of people allowed inside at a time.

For Easter, we gathered items that reminded us of His death and resurrection.

So Much Swimming.

We got stimulus checks. So Jon got a Traeger.

We really missed our friends.

So we heart-attacked their door.

Class picture!

Quotable Sniders

I see all these posts that say, "Since you're home with nothing to do," or "To pass the time, you can..." and I'm over here like, I'M 10x BUSIER THAN I WAS BEFORE.

Brynn got a letter and a necklace in the mail from her Kindergarten teacher. The letter says: “Congrats - you are Queen of the Sight Words!”

Me: Justin, when was the last time you showered?
Justin: Two days ago.
Jon: Ew! You should shower everyday.
Justin: No! Experts recommend ...
Jon: Experts don’t know how you smell!!!

Accidental Pro Parenting Tip:
Your kid is in the other room on a Zoom meeting... then it's over and you hear something funny coming from your Bluetooth earbuds on your desk... you put them on and hear Justin playing a game.... you walk up to Justin and just stare at him while pointing at the Bluetooth earbuds....
MUHAHAHA

Meet Tundra, Sydney’s favoritest of all stuffies. Tundra goes with her everywhere. Well, except the past two days. It was lost.
We feel lost sometimes, don’t we?
There were lots of tears and lots of searching, to no avail. Last night before bed she came to me extra sad.
“I can’t find Tundra anywhere.”
What have you lost? Doesn’t it feel hopeless?
So we did something that we do when Hope is lost—pray. And do you know what? Literally seconds after we said “amen,” an idea popped into Sydney’s head and she ran right to a spot in the house.
Guess what she found?
Hope is just a prayer away.
