Estrella Mountain Regional Park

With the weather so nice, we've been wanting to go hiking! We drove about 15 minutes south to Estrella Mountain Regional Park. It's $7 for one car to get in, and cheaper per visit if you buy a pass.

We drove around until we found a trail that looked good. This one was around and up by a horse area.

It was a great trail for all of us, including four kids, a dog, and grandma who had knee replacement surgery only a few months ago! Some flat parts, with some small hills.

We brought plenty of water for everyone. The one thing we will bring next time is a small first aid kit! Falls are common on the rocky trail.

The kids loved finding walking sticks and looking at the desert plants. We also saw lots of people.

Washes -- where the water goes when it rains.
