Conrad and Sarah and baby Athena, and Jeffrey and Brielle came to visit. Boy did they work HARD. Conrad was the rototiller king. He ripped out part of the yard and areated and de-thatched the rest. He also reseeded and applied nitrogen.

The other major project was remodeling the basement. For about a month, Jon and Carrie have been doing demo work down there. You can see the ceiling tiles we were ripping out and the rolled up old nasty carpet on the floor. Our goal was to frame this up and build a wall so we could make it into a bedroom.
Jeffrey did most of the framing, and we helped him put up the drywall. Jon's dad came in for a few minutes to put in electrical boxes and string the wiring. He also added several recessed lights.
Jeffrey did a lot of measuring and hammering and drilling and.... he was quite exhausted!
The work horse. We helped sheet rock the ceiling until almost 1am early Sunday morning.
The finished product! We still need to hang a door, but it looks like a real room!!! We kept the original closets on the back wall.

great job on updating. Can you send us pictures of Jeff working on the basement and a picture of what we got finished in the basement. Jeff wants me to post some on my blog but I only took some of him and Dallin Reading a book.
Oh how fun! My family did the same type of thing for us when we were moving into this old house that we're in. We were so grateful! I can't wait to see the finished project!
