British Isles Day 3: Gadfield Elm Chapel, Stratford-Upon-Avon

Goodbye Liverpool!

We drove through beautiful countryside to an LDS Church History site called Gadfield Elm Chapel, the first-ever chapel the church owned. Our tour guide told amazing stories of faith of the early church members as well as the restoration of the building while we sat inside.

Then we drove through more amazing countryside, hoping to see a Jane Austen character out in the wild, but no such luck.

We then headed to Stratford upon Avon and visited Holy Trinity Church—William Shakespeare is laid to rest inside. A bit down the road we visited the home of his wife, Anne Hathaway.

Strutin’ around Stratford: Darling streets, silly signs, Shakespeare’s birthplace and statue, and my mom ordering most of the left side of the menu.

Tomorrow we board the cruise ship!
