Brynn turned 1!! She took her first steps like a day or two before her birthday.
We visited the farm in Ontario, Oregon, and Gpa & Gma Kennington's house one last time (they are selling it), and helped move Casey's stuff into Vanessa's garage. We stayed at my parents' new house in Fruitland, Idaho, and then stayed at Conrad & Sarah Kennington's house in Meridian so our kids could play with their little cousins, Athena, Carson, Anna, and Clayton. Also Conrad, me, Athena and Dallin went on a super long bike ride!
Also.... Grandma Sharon Snider moved in! She is officially retired and happy to be in Idaho with us. We had always offered her to live with us when the time was right. Our basement has a huge room we almost never use, which is perfect for her. And we are in full swing on finishing her basement kitchen and bathroom.
Quotable Sniders
Justin (age 6): Guess what today is???
Me: Sunday? May 31?
Justin: What else???
Me: What?
Justin: Grandma is moving here!!!!
Our Justin (age 6) plunks down all 12 of the library's Ninjago books on the desk... he's giggling with happiness.
Librarian: Any kid who giggles like that NEEDS to be in the summer reading program.
Me: Yeah, I'm sorta proud.
Sydney (age 4): Mommy, do you have any boy friends?
Me: Just daddy.
Sydney: Oh! He's your friend and your honey?
Me: Yes. lol
Sydney and her little friend... "Mom we are Belle and the Beast... you are Gaston and have to chase us...." Uhhh, darn! Left my pitchfork on the farm.
The five stages of homework: 1.Denial 2.Bribery 3.Whining and hiding 4.Acceptance 5.Crying while furiously finishing
Dallin (age 9) makes better scrambled eggs than me, and I'm ok with that. (It's our Sunday lunch every week.)
