A New Day, by Carrie Snider

family life
The innocent voices wake me,
It must be 8 o'clock.
And so the day begins again as
I trip over another sock.
It's breakfast time
And the menu is carefully set.
Each child's hand is open,
Waiting for what they'll get
I put the laundry in
And I start the dishes, too.
Oops I forgot to change diapers
Where are the wipes in this zoo?
My own breakfast sits cold
Back in the dirty kitchen
Waiting for me to remember myself
Admist these angels from heaven.

I love this poem. It is so true. You are such a good mommy! Kiss all your cute kiddos for me.
